Lush The Smell of Freedom 30ml RRP £32
'A fragrance of strength, hope and unwavering determination.' The Smell of Freedom was inspired by the experiences of three 'survivors of hardship' and a spicy, bitter-sweet scent that develops in delicate layers. Lemongrass is the predominant opening note, but clove and black pepper soon make themselves known, with a touch of neroli and jasmine adding a slightly sweeter floral touch. The result is a light and pleasing but complex mix. Very subtle and unobtrusive, the fragrance stays close to the skin, but will last through the day.
During the second week of October 2011 Lush donated all of the proceeds from the sale of The Smell of Freedom to the Free West Papua campaign. Further information on Free West Papua can be found at: http://www.freewestpapua.org.
